The Men's Probus Club of Murray Bridge
The Men's Probus Club of Murray Bridge is an autonomous club established under the parent organisation, Probus South Pacific Ltd. (https://www.probussouthpacific.org). The Club is run by members, for members, with activities reflecting local interests and communities. The Men's Probus Club of Murray Bridge has been operating for over 40 years and has in excess of 80 members. It offers members the opportunity to stay socially active and engaged. Wives and partners able to participate in many of the activities, visits and tours.
Who Can Join
The Men's Probus Club of Murray Bridge is an association of retired and semi-retired men. Membership of the Men’s Probus Club of Murray Bridge is open to residents of Murray Bridge and the surrounding region. It is ideal for older men looking for connection, conversation and community involvement – no matter what religious denomination or cultural background – everyone is welcome.
We welcome new Members and have vacancies right now! If you are a retired or semi-retired man and you are attracted by intellectual and cultural activity which is free from the obligation to provide services or raise funds, you may like to join us to enjoy friendship, fellowship and fun. Why join?
The basic purpose of the Club is to advance intellectual and cultural interests amongst adult men and to provide regular opportunities to progress healthy minds and active bodies through social interaction and activities. The club is built around regular face-to face interaction. The club offers a welcoming environment that supports positive aging.
Monthly meetings are held at which the ongoing business of the club is discussed and at each meeting members enjoy presentations by an invited speaker by one of our own members in the form of a “Who am I?”
The club promotes routine, purpose and a sense of belonging. There is an emphasis on making Club experiences enjoyable and fun.
How much does it cost to join?
Membership fees are set annually by a vote of members. The 2026-27 membership fee is $20.00 There may be a small cost for some activities covering transport, meals or admission charges when required.

For a few hours semi-retired and retired men share stories, coffee and biscuits, purely to build and keep connections.
The Murray Bridge branch celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2023, with members from other probus club's around the region all coming together to celebrate.
The word Probus comes from professional and business, but you don’t need to have worked in either field to join.
